Effective date: August 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the UniTube UWP application (“UniTube” or the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
The Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
UniTube is an independent, unofficial client for discovering public YouTube content, opening YouTube’s official watch pages, and, when you supply your own Google OAuth configuration, accessing permitted account data and uploading videos through the YouTube Data API. UniTube is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube.
The App is provided as a Developer Mode sideload package. It is not a Microsoft Store application.
Use of YouTube and Google services through the App is also governed by the applicable Google and YouTube terms, policies, and rules. You must comply with those terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
If you configure the App with an API key, OAuth client ID, or OAuth client secret, you are responsible for creating, securing, and using those credentials in accordance with Google’s requirements. Do not enter credentials that you are not authorized to use. You may revoke the App’s access through your Google Account or use the App’s sign-out feature to remove its locally stored tokens.
You are responsible for all content that you upload and for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions, and legal authority to upload it. Do not use the App to infringe intellectual-property rights, violate privacy or other laws, distribute unlawful content, or interfere with YouTube, Google, or the App.
You may use the App only for lawful, personal, and authorized purposes. You may not:
The App is an open-source project provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. The project maintainers may update these Terms by publishing a revised version at this page. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project maintainers disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and security. The App may contain errors, and access to third-party services may be unavailable or changed without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project maintainers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, credentials, content, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain disclaimers or limitations. In those jurisdictions, these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and revoking any Google authorization you granted. The project maintainers may suspend or terminate access to App functionality where reasonably necessary to protect the App, comply with law, or address a violation of these Terms.
